Come see the Louisiana marshes at night! You won't believe some of the things you will see at night. You will see the the marsh floor consisting of natural oyster beds and contours of the water bed. You'll see redfish, dum, flounder, sheepshead, alligator gar, catfish, and many more species.

Captain John Styron
Captain John, a New Orleans firefighter, is native to the waters of New Orleans. He grew up on the water in Venetian Isles, which is on the outskirts of Lake Borgne. From the age of 10, Captain John has been driving a boat and fishing. Bowfishing since 15 years old has enabled him to obtain plenty of experience and knowledge of how, when, and where to find fish. Captain John's childhood consisted of fishing, crabbing, shrimping, oystering, and being on the water. Come appreciate the outdoors and have a great experience.

Where do we meet on the day of the trip?The boat is located at the Patriot Lodge and will be launched from there.

What happens to the fish?At the end of the trip, Captain John cleans all the fish for you to bring home.

What if there is bad weather on the dated book?Captain John wants to ensure safety so it is up to him whether or not the trip will take place.

What if I have never gone bowfishing before?Captain John teaches everyone, from adults to children, how to bowfish at the start of the trip.

Are there any age requirements?There are no age requirements, with 8 years of age being the youngest to bowfish with Captain John. Bowfishing is a great family outing.

Any other requirements I need to do before the trip?Obtain a $20 / 3-day charter pass at Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.
